dvd/cd drive

i bought a LG dvd external burner, but when i use it on my laptop i cannot access it when i want to burn, how to change the default DVD drive for me to use the burner?

What software are you using for the external DVD burner? Is there no option in the software to change it?

i use convert x to dvd to create some movies for my kids, but when it goes for burning it cannot detect my external dvd burner, but i never tried with nero. is it possible to change the default dvd drive?

I use Roxio and that allows you to select a DVD-burner (if you have two of them). Nero should also have this option too.

If you don't want to buy Roxio or Nero, the website below has software (demo, shareware and freeware) available to use, worth a go.
