hard disks are not detected in diskmanager

Hello everyone i ve vista sp1 installed .it works smoothly wht i want to know when i open disk manager ( right click on my comp--> manage then in console disk management ) i don't see my hard disk it only shows my dvd drive . wht cud be the reason for that. i ve sata hard disk

Hi, boot into the bois and change the disk disk controller setting from AHCI to IDE.
