No Sound - HP pavilion dv6915nr

I have a HP pavilion dv6915nr Entertainment Notebook PC which happens to be one of the worst PC's I've ever owned. The other day when I played music, my sound started to get staticy but I thought it was my headphones so I didn't bother to do anything about it. Then it started to progressively get worse and worse and soon until I couldn't hear anything out of my headphones or speakers anymore. I only know basics of using a computer but I still decided to try to fix it myself so I uninstalled the audio program thinking I could start over and reinstall it but I was wrong. I went for help on the HP site and I tried to reinstall the Conexant HD-Audio SmartAMC HD2 Driver and did exactly what the instructions said but it didn't work. When I look at the Device Manager it doesn't show the sound hardware at all not even when I click "Show Hidden Devices". I guess next time I should just ask someone for help instead of trying to fix it myself.

Either your speakers are faulty, or your motherboard.

Contact your support department (Company you purchased it from) and they may arrange collection of your laptop and offer a repair under the manufacturers warranty.
