No Sound!Help Please!

Hi Guys

Everytime I restart my laptop the sound goes.It comes back after a few hours or or even a day(think depending on how much I use it.It is a sigmatel high definition audio codec & i have reinstalled,updated & rolled back the driver. When I try to play a test it says the test tone failed to play!

Its pretty annoying,just wondering does anyone have any ideas?

You either have some sort of software conflict, or your sound is slowly dying.

Try and run a recovery to it's original factory settings, if that doesn't help, then get your laptop in for a service / repair.
