it is all chinese to me!

I have installed HP4000 printer/scanner into my ASUS laptop (made in Taiwan, and having Chinese as main language system). after that my European friend installed the same into her laptop using autorun. but it turned out that she got all Chinese when running the programme, which she doesn't have a clue.
We have tried to uninstall it, but have no idea what to do to get the programme speaking English again.

When you install anything, it will provide you with some sort of a drop down box, this will show you different languages and settings. Reinstall your printer and select English as the language you need.
