Exclamation How to disable Pre Boot authentication in Acer Bio Protection

Hi all, new here but have been looking around for the past few days.

I'm having an issue I can't seem to sort out with the wife's laptop.

Model: Acer Travelmate 7530
Operating System: Vista (SP2)
Issue:

When ever I boot up the laptop it asks for an Admin Password befroe continuing boot up. I know the password because I set it (I think) using Acer Bio Protection software v6.0.00.16 that came with the laptop.

One of the features that I accidentally set was the PBA (Pre Boot authentication).

Any way to turn this off?

Numerous tries at turning this feature off using the software, swinging a dead chicken over my head, lighting candles to various religious deities, and pretty much everything short of a virgin sacrifice hasn't helped with the problem.

I even tried reading the manual! Twice!!

Any help anyone could provide with this would be greatly appreciated.

Go in to the System BIOS and see if there's a way to disable it from within there.

Thanks Kevin,

Tried going in there but haven't found the option yet. Any idea on what I need to press to gain access to the bios set up on an Acer?

Thanks again!
