Norton renewal

Hi I have Norton 360 on 3 pc's & have only 15 days subscription left. Norton want over £60 to renew but I can purchase the same product new from a store for £23. Is there a problem if I download the norton uninstall tool & then load the new program? Thanks

What anti-virus are you then going to use?

He/she will use the new Norton 360 of course -- the retail one which is cheaper than an online renewal. However, the OP should make sure that the retail pack includes the same type of licence (3 computers) for the same length of time as the renewal licence, otherwise it's not a like-for-like comparison, in which case the retail version at £23 may not be such good value after all -- read what it says on the box before buying (the licence details will most likely be in very small print that's easily missed, a deliberate ploy by Symantec).

For a free solution use Comodo Internet suite with Anti-virus it has a free licence and if you want the pro version it only costs 4 dollars.it has better security and regular definition updates,I have used it in buisness installs and it rocks.

I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. Provides the same protection as Norton and it's free and less problematic.

Most of my friends use Microsoft Security Essentials, not only because it is free but also it does not have any popups and they haven’t had any malware infections for many years. I am thinking of switching to it.
