CdROM spins like crazy and freezes

hello every one, my cd rom, when ever i put in a cd, spins at probably double normal, and shakes the whole computer, and makes every thing freeze, when i open the drive it all goes back to normal

Some disks do cause a lot of vibration, but from the sound of it, the lazer is out of calibration. Hence the higher than normal spin speed and the freeze up as the drive struggles to read the disk.
You can get them recalibrated.... but for the cost, a replacement would make sense.

its only when i first put a cd in, after a few min it stops and works normally, as long as its not opend.and as for getting a new one, i just bought this pc new not more then a week ago

It is still a possible faulty drive. I've seen similar behaviour before on my own brand new LG.
