Greetings,
I'm kinda at a loss to this situation I am currently experiencing, and I'm hoping someone out there can help me...Ok, to fill in the background of everything-I have a network of about 150+ PCs all mostly Windows XP. This is in a medium-sized banking chain, and after our last banking software update, it seems the update caused my tellers (only the ones with IBM computers) to automatically set themselves to go into standbby after 20 minutes. However, only under regular domain users and NOT under administrators. This means that when I go to change the power settings, I can't, because the users are not a member of the administrator's group. The only way I can set it correctly is to change every user individually to a domain admin and change it manually for EVERY user that logs onto the computer. This gets kinda tedious, considering I sometimes have up to five users logon onto one computer to do their work (at different times of course

. Since I know some of you are gonna wonder, our authentication/fileserver is an older-than-Benjamin-Franklin Win NT 4.0 system. PHEW! after all that, my question is, is there any way I can disable the setting that makes the standby /power settings individual to the user? Or, is there any way I can disable standy for all users in one fatal swoop? Thanks!
