Admin is now a guest?

I was installing a game and the machine crashed. When it rebooted, we had lost all of our user accounts, except for one, named Administrator. Which for some reason has only guest privilages... I am so confused, I thought if there was only one account it had to have admin. capabilities, but it is labelled as a guest. Is there someway that I can get my read Admin account back without a new install?

try rebooting in safe mode, tap the F8 key from the time you turn the computers power on untill the boot options appear. last know good configuration first, safe mode if last known config dont help. when you boot into safe mode your other accounts mat still be listed.

Yeah .....I'd try to restore to the earliest date, before your PC crashed

Hey all...Thanks for the advice but I had already tried that. The problem was that Administrator had ONLY guest permissions and there were no other accounts available.

I tried safe mode, restore, and even tried a password hack reset for WinNT. It all failed. It is much easier just to reinstall.
