Problem logging into my user profile on XP

Well, I have Windows XP home edition, and I've had it for a while. There are three user profiles on the computer: Mine, and my parents. Now, I turned on the computer today and it started up perfectly right until the welcome screen in which you click on your user profile. I clicked on mine, and after waiting an amazingly long amount of time it brought up this little screen stating that there was something wrong with my user profile.

It said that the user profile couldn't load, and it then brought up another screen stating that it would instead load a temporary user profile for me. I've run a virus scan, and downloaded all the newest updates. Yet, it still continues to do this. Any ideas?

this is what i do: i log into a administrator account, delete the account, save the files when it offers to do so, then recreate it and add the files back. if you dont like my solution and you have a adobe acrobat reader, click the link below for all the details about this.
