Linx for Serial ATA(SATA)

SIR,

I HAVE A P4-3gh(HT),512MB RAM ,120MB SERIAL ATA HARD DISK.SONY DVD WRITER & IOMEGA CD WRITER.16MB VIDEO RAM.
I HAVE LOADED WINDOWS XP(HOMEEDITION) IN 90MB PARTITION.
IS THERE ANY LINUX VERSION WHICH CAN RECOGONISE MY SATA HARD DISK. I WOULD LIKE TO LOAD LINUX IN THE REMAINING PARTITION.
PLEASE HELP ME.

couple of things,,, none one here is called SIR , number too, don't post in capital letter
You system is fast enough to run pretty much anything, Linux 9.0 would be flavorer of choice if you want to go Linux, It would not make much of the difference if it would run in SATA mode or ATA since your computer is fast enough.
