How to reset User Accounts on XP

I have Windows XP Professional and am wanting to reset the user accounts without having to reinstall XP. Basically, I used to share the PC with several other housemates, then several days ago quite unexpectedly one of them has moved out. The problem is that his User Account was set as the Adminstrator, which was password protected. And we have no means of getting in touch with him at present.

As all other accounts have Limited Account privileges, we are unable to un/install software, etc. Therefore, I was wanting to know if it is possible to reset the user accounts without having access to the password of the current Administrator?

I guess there are three way of doing that:
-Reinstall the OS ( I guess that is not your first choice)
-One other tough way of doing it, to remove certain file from the system with NTFS dos boot disk and replacing it with RAW file from I386 folder.. blah blah blah,, it is not easy..
-Fastest way of doing it is using ERD2003 with Lock Smith Module,, it does magic , it save my rare end few time and it only take about two minutes to change any password on your computer.
