Default/Downloaded Font errors
Any and all downloaded fonts (as in did not come with the computer) are not available for use in any program on my Windows XP running computer. Even some of the fonts that DID come with the computer aren't working in any application.
I also have two other older computers which are running on Windows 98 & 95: their downloaded fonts work fine.
To make things even more confusing, the fonts have different colors and symbols depending on their type/purpose. All the fonts I have in my WINDOWS\Fonts\ folder are TrueTypes. But their symbols and colors are all different:
Downloaded/non-working fonts: TrueType Font Files. Blue TT symbol.
International Working Font Files: Font Files. Red A symbol.
Default Computer Font files: TrueType Font Files. Green O symbol. some do not work.
Asian Based Working Font files: TrueType Collection Font files. Green TT symbol.
This is the epitome of confusing and frustrating for me. I hate having to switch computers just to use certain fonts.
I have done: redownloaded fonts, restarted the computer, uninstalled/reinstalled applications. Nothing works.
Any help? Please?
