new connection wizard problem

Hi, I upgraded windows xp home to windows xp professional.

I'm trying to create a dial-up connection. I run the 'new connection wizard', choose 'connect to the internet', choose 'set up my connection manually' but on the next screen, 'connect using a dial-up mondem' is greyed out. 'Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password' is also greyed out. The only option that I can select is 'connect using a boroadband connection that is always on.'

Does anyone have any idea how i can select 'connect using a dial-up connection?

I've tried both of these methods but still no luck. Any other ideas by anyone or should I go down the path of doing a brand new install.

right click on the IE icon on the desktop, go to properly/ select the connection Tab, on the dial up and VPN setting click on Add, that should launch the connection wizard.
