Friend recently uninstalled Linux, and lost 70GB of his Hard Disk?

Hey, my friend had just recently unistalled Linux after he found out it wouldn't be much use for him, only to find out he lost 70 GB of his 200GB HD too! We think it's the partition used for Linux, and when he uninstalled it, the partition became empty. So now there is 70Gb of Space used for nothing. Any idea how to restore this to XP? Thanks!

EDIT: My friend just told me the 70 GB doesnt appear in any partition software.

E.g the Computer now thinks it has a 130GB HD not a 200 GB HD...

go to start, then run, copy and paste this.
%windir%\system32\mmc.exe diskmgmt.msc
you should be able to see the unallocated space and be able to create a partition and format it from there.
