Internet Explorer security problems
i am using IE Version 6.0
it wont allow me to visit hotmail site, windows update sites or any other sites when i try to run any security patches
these are the messages i get...
1) when i try to log on to hotmail ---> it wont load the page
msn messenger does'nt allow me to sign in
2) when i try to visit Windows update page this error shows up
Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX control settings on this page. As a result the page may not display correctly.
i have tried setting the security to default and lowest level.
3) when i try insatlling security patches--->
error message:
Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the crytograhic service is running on this computer.
4) Another problems that i get are,,,
i installed Norton Antivirus 2003 and 2004 one by one, but they won't run inorder to perform system scan
u might wanna know that i am running Zone Alarm firewall, but i have tried all this while it was shutdown
and i added a new hard drive and memory and used ghost for windows XP and since then i started getting all these problems, but all the patches and windows update worked fine the first time i did it after ghosting the drive,,,
and also Netscape Navigator works fine for hotmial site
please help,,,,,,,
