Languages
Well, I want to know what you did... JK
Actually I work with Windows in 15+ languages, since the company I work for is a language translation company, but I have never seen an english machine display dialog boxes in another language unless its a version of windows in that language. You can display some limited multilanguages in such things as calender, etc, but not the std. dialog boxes. You can change the language options in the control panel, but thats just input devices for displaying currency and standards so that you can show word documents, etc in unicode characters correctly.
So, from what you are explaining, you have an english version (there isn't a UK version), and the standards and formats are set to English (UK). What dialog boxes are showing spanish? Can you identify some of them? I don't believe there is a dialog box language setting anywhere as described. Please note, sometimes when windows update site is REALLY busy, it will direct you to a windows update site in another country, thus the language will display a different language, but the correct service pack/update will be in the correct language.
Please provide more info, and let us know if its persisting, or was a one time fluke.
