Internet crashes and reboots

Hey
I know there are threads with this topic but I did a search and none of them seemed to match my situation.

I've been having some probs with my Internet in general, or maybe its just IE. Everytime I go on Internet, it loads the homepage fine, then when I navigate thru the website or click to another site my computer crashes and reboots. I have not idea what this is about (ive tried reinstalling my cable modem, my drivers, my programs, system restore, etc) and there is no help from Microsoft error reporting. I have installed all the Windows Updates and scanned for viruses and adware. Its seems to be chiefly a problem with IE since my bro's laptop shares my internet connection and it works fine with him.

I have seen that problem before and I don't know if this is the actual cause or not, but disabling / uninstalling Norton Anti-Virus 2002 fixed it. Might try that.

my blue screen message has this thing saying

BAD_POOL_CALLER
and then some codes. I searched on Microsoft Knowledge Base and found something very complex, so I'm not sure of how to fix the prob.

by any chance, are you using your high-speed modem with a USB cable instead of Ethernet?

It could be either that or a bad driver, might try removing all non-essential stuff one at a time and see if the error goes away.
