Question Win XP Task Manager

I have windows xp home edition on my comp. I had some troubles with viruses and had to reformat a couple of months ago. Everything seems to be okay now. My task manager was working fine for a long time after that. Then one day my comp decided to just shut down after quicktime wasn't responding. Once I started it again, I uninstalled and reinstalled quicktime. However my task manager is now buggered. I don't have a file menu anymore. I don't have any of the 4 tabs at the top. I don't even have then menu bar. I can still use it to end not responding programs but I can't get to processes or networking or anything else. Do you know what might have gone wrong or possibly how it can be fixed? Thanks

Angie

You may have inadvertently switched the Task Manager to its "Tiny Footprint" mode. Try double-clicking the border around the window to see if you get your tabs back. Here's Microsoft's explanation:

Glad you got it, and welcome to the forum Acrylic_Duckie. That "undocumented feature" has startled and confused alot of people.
