Hello all, it's time for Yet ANother Stupid Windows Trick (TM)...
Computer's a Windows XP Pro-based computer, using a P4 2.5GHz CPU and 512MB of RAMBUS DRAM< all on a Intel 850EMV2 motherboard.
Drives are 2 80GB drinves on their own PCI bus, with Drive C being the main system drive, and Drive D being the data/swapfile drive.
Recently, have had to get rid of a bunch of spyware/adware that was put on by a not-very-bright 19-year old (not to mention two viruses) - and ever since that removal, Windows Explorer crases everytime I have more than 1 disk window open, and I then close all windows .
When Explorer crashes, it gives me a message sayting that an Application Error had occured and that a application at mem location 0x00000007 could not read memory at a certain location in high memory.
Sometimes, Explorer won't display the error message but will restart anyway after the last window's closed.
ANy advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!
