Floppy drive problem

Yea, so i switch my internals from one case to another, and all the sudden i get a floppy disk drive error, the power light is on and the drive is connected proporly. The funny thing is i replaced the drive and it still happens... Any ideas?

Normally this is caused by the Floppy Drive cable being twisted 180 degrees out.

well heres another funny thing i should have included in 1st post. the floppy cable was replaced as well.

also, ovoiding creating a new thread, if i have a cd-rom drive and a cd burner, does the cd-rom drive need to be set to master?

With power OFF unplug the cable out of the FDD, twist it through 180 degress and reconnect, reboot the PC

With power OFF unplug the cable out of the FDD, rotate the cable so that the right side of the connector is on the left then reconnect, reboot the PC

actually glad that by chance i put the floppy cable in upside down because now i know.
