Power DVD problem in XP with Screen resolution

Hello

I recently downloaded Power DVD , very much hoping to see my DVD, but

Neither the Power DVD worked nor I was able to change my screen resolution ................ Each time I try to change the screen resolution from 1024*768 to 800*600 (or any other thing) it just restarts with a flick of blue screen........

I have Intel R 82815 Graphics Controller....................

Power DVD always says "The current mode is not supported, DDraw overlay mode is recomended"

I do not know for some reason even my Help Support of the XP does not come up in my laptop to troubleshoot.

Where did the help and support go................When I hit statrt and help nothing shows up no blue screen..no error....

Any kind of big help will be appreciated................

I am stuck here with XP with not even the help and support showing up, Please help.

Put your XP disk in; hit Exit if the Autorun starts.

Goto Start/Run and type
sfc /scannow

That will run the system file checker and hopfully put 'Help and Support' back in.

Have you installed the latest drivers for the controller?
