Net Problems

Hi,

I run a home net, with a router with a dsl line. (WINXP prof.)
Suddenly in one of the two laptops I don’t see the net. I get a message that Ì have not permission etc.
From the other laptop I see the net I see also the laptop with the problem but also "I have not granted permission etc.) if I want to access it
The internet was working perfect, meaning that the LAN reaches the router. I test the cable with another lap top and no problem.
I reinstall the home net with the wizard of xp but the problem remains.
Any hint?

edule, Welcome to this Forum.

the chances are that your TCP/IP stack has been trashed ! Uninstall the card (remove it from Device manager) make sure you uninstall / remove the TCP stack from Network property, then reboot the system and let the computer re-detect the device.
