Unhappy digital camera and windows xp

Hi,

Can anybody help me, I have purchased Windows XP SP1 and its working perfectly except after I install the digital camera and start downloading the pictures. It does the instalation ok. But when I start downloding the picture the machine reboots.

I know that the proble is XP SP1 because I had Windows 98 and it worke fine plus onother computer had windows XP Homeeditions and it works fine. The camera is a evision Megapro Digital CAmera..

there are instructions to correctly install the driver + the driver it's self on the link below, also the user manual pdf has a link on that page. hope this helps.

Hello eimc10, welcome to the forum

Please post your full hardware spec so that we can see what you are talking about.

CPU
RAM
Graphic Card
Sound Card
Motherboard Make/Model

What method of download are you using ...

Card Reader
USB Cable
Serial Cable
Docking Station.

What Application are you using to view the photos?

Does the system crash if you only download one photo?

To stop the system rebooting do this ...

Right Click the My Computer icon > Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery - Settings > System Failure - Uncheck 'Automatically Restart., ensure the other 2 options are checked.

When the system fails you should get an error message, you need to write down that message and post it back on here.
