The Infamous Blue Error Screen...Centrino Problem?

I have a Dell Latitude D400 with Intel Centrino. Every so often, I begin to have problems connecting to the internet that seems to be the wireless software (it recognizes the network, displays a connection, but cannot connect) and if clicking the refresh option for the wireless network a few times, everything seems to go back to normal.

Sometimes, though, a blue screen will come up with this message,
--
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
...
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_OR_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Technical Information
Stop: 0x000000D1 (0x83000000, 0X00000002, 0x00000001, 0x80527A01)

and you have to restart. I know a lot of people that this same model, and the same problem.

Any suggestions on how to fix it, or ideas?

-Will

See if this note for D1 Stop Errors is useful.

Stop 0x000000D1 or DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

"This is one of the most common Stop errors. The error typically occurs when a driver tries to access an improper memory address. Check for unsigned drivers, and be especially suspicious of recently installed or updated antivirus programs, disk utilities, and backup programs, which may install a faulty file-system filter driver."

Hmm...I know that at least 15 different people get that message, so would that change anything?

Also, it should be noted that all of our machines were created by the same image - but there are still people who have the same image as we do, but do not get the error.

Have you tried the Dell site to see what patches are available for your model? There might be a hardware mismatch or something - maybe even a firmware update is required. i was all kinds of problems with my D600 until I installed the lastest drivers from Dell.
