System Information won't start

I'm using XP Home Edition and whenever I go to use the System Information tool (msinfo32) nothing happens. I don't get an error or anything, it just doesn't work. It doesn't work when I use the "run" function or just going to the system tools and clicking on it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

Type "sfc /scannow" into Start > Run, without the quotes, noting that there is a space between c and /. Have your XP CD handy. See if that helps.

Even though the following is not your exact issue, it may work, nevertheless.

Good luck..................

Just a thought.
If you ever used ToniArts Easy Cleaner "EClean1_7", it would cause System Information to not respond.
It would also cause Help and Support to stop responding.

I was reading about that issue as well Nesbit. However, I was caught in two minds about mentioning it, as Machu didn't mention the Help and Support issue.

Machu, browse to c:\Windows\inf\pchealth.inf > right click 'pchealth.inf' and click install....................
