virus from hell HELP!

Ok guys, virus prob... And its not gonna be an easy one to take care of...

I have a picture of the avg scanner pickin it up.. So I run avg and I doesent scan the damn path of the virus!

http://img61.photobucket.com/albums/...lman/virus.jpg

I have used about 3 differernt virus scanners out there and all of them dont scan the "system restore" path. Avg keeps on giving me this popup virus notice and Im like.. OK I KNOW ITS THERE!! But how could I get rid of it? I tried to show all the system folders and access that folder, but it says I dont have access.. And im on administrator account on my laptop. And its the only account on my laptop. Any help would be great. Thx.

Oh yeah, I tried the cleaner for that virus and it had the same problem, it doesent scan the path that the virus is on. Oh yeah.. Forgot to say, its on xp pro with sp1

If you switch sytem restore of it will empty all files in there. So any virus that was there will of been binned, so next time you run the virus cleaner it will detect the virus were it was moved to and clean it. Then all you need to do is switch sys restore back on..

I agree with Scouse. Turn off system restore. That is why you can't remove it.
