networking two computers. need help asap

hello

i have windows xp

my sisters computer is windows 2000


i have connected all the cables and stuff together..

i need to know what IP i put in my pc

and what ip do i put in my sisters IP

and how can i allowmy internet to be shared with her computer aswell ?? what ip do i need to enter??


and i am logd in as administrator for my computer

and my sister is log on to her computer as administrator, when i go to see if her computer is in my network folder and i click on her pc..
it saids i dont have the rights to view this pc etc..please contact admin
etc

when im her computer and try to click on my computer in her networkd folder and stuff..
it saids the same thing..


so what am i doing wrong ????

how can i fix this ?? is it because we are both administrators????
can someone pelase tell me the steps to fix this and allow these two pcs to connect..
please reply if u have a clue..
