Hi fairsky
Do you actually have a quality, always up-to-date and properly configured AntiVirus and Firewall installed on your PC? If not, I suggest that you do so immediatelly, as you have not really given a straightforward yes or no!
Anyway...........
1. Disable System Restore.
2. Update your virus definitions. Do you actually have AV?
3. Restart the computer in Safe mode.
4. Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as Trojan.ByteVerify. Also known as Exploit-ByteVerify (McAfee).
After you have done the above, perform an online AV scan, as follows, to be on the safe side: -

Good luck..........................
NB Re: Cleaning Java Cache. Would you please elaborate on that. Do you mean deleting TIF's, clearing histoty, deleting all cookies, etcetera.........
