Accessing old My Documents folders after reinstalling Windows XP

I was having a great deal of trouble with my setup and decided to reinstall XP. For various reasons, I installed it over the old version. Of course, that created a new My Documents folder. My old folder is still on the system, but I can't access it. I know my old password. Is there some way I can get in to the old documents folder?

Thanks

Hi incognito56

One of these should do the trick: -

http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;308421

http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=winxp

Good luck..................

I had the same thing going on. But I also had norton installed prior to reintalling XP pro. I don't want to have to format my hard drive but if I must then I must.....but anyways I can seem to get the symantic file to delete, nor can I install norton again.
