Well, I repaired my WinXP, and it's halfway working...
I think something edited my Registry where I can't open certain Control Panel folders (ie Sound, Display, and a few others). And my system doesn't recognize ANY file extentions lol, so if I want to open a program (say .exe), I would have to make a shortcut [.ink] and choose the *.exe program from there to use it... Since all *.exe files won't open manually - just hangs there :/ Well at least I found a temporary route around it, but I can't still adjust the d4mn Sound, Display, etc files that are most crucial to my everday use with my Laptop (Dell Inspiron 8100). I made a shortcut for Sound, Display, and the other stuff that I need from Control Panel, but the shortcut won't cut it. When I try and find the Control Panel with "Use a program to open/use this file", it acts as if there never was one (?) ... or is that normal?
Anyway, I guess I'll see what I can do to the Registry to fix this bs

. I think it's either a) I remember force shutting it when trying to hibernate my laptop (stupid me), and maybe causing the changing/editing/corrupting some essential files? or b) I got some unknown worm that edited some of my Registry - even though I have a constantly updated Nortan AV and ZoneAlarm (so it would be odd if it were infact, a worm)...
So, I guess I have something to look forward in the next couple of days/weeks. Thanks to all in trying to help me! And about my previous post, I read wrong lol. Thought u said "Internal"...ahh nvm, it was 2 am in the morning

<- me in da morning
Thx again!
