Windows XP bootup error

Recently my computer gave me the 'blue screen of death' and i was unable to get passed it
i tried re-installing WinXP but with no help as the blue screen comes up during the installation or it freezes

ive tried everything even formatting the harddrive but still the error comes up during the installation
i even tried installing it on my other harddrive but i still get the same error.

BSOD's have an 'error code' message. What is it?

When you say it will not install on your Bros hard drive either, are you trying the hard drive of your brothers in your computer?
if so then it sounds like a hardware problem and there is 3 things it will be if it is hardware, first is the memory 2nd could be Graphic card, and lastly the motherboard..

Check installing the XP in another computer on there hard drive..

What is your computers specs?
