Remove Spyfiles by using these 6 programs .
Make sure you use the SpyBot/SpywareBlaster/Ad-aware/Bazooka/Swat It > Online > Update button regularly .

SpyBot
http://beam.to/spybotsd
http://www.spybot.us/spybotsd13.exe
http://majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
Editor's Note: The Resident shield in version 1.3 has an issue allowing certain cookies (Specifically Double Click)when set to notify. If page loading becomes a problem, right click the icon in the Systray, select “Resident IE” and either uncheck “Use Resident in IE sessions” or check "Block all bad pages silently".
Once you have the program installed , open SpyBot and select the "Immunize" icon on the left & Click on Immunize , in the new page .
Permanently running bad download blocker for Internet Explorer .
Select > Block all bad pages silently & click Install .
Then check the box "lock hosts file read-only as protection against hijackers".
Select your download site .
Open Spybot Search and Destroy. After clicking the button that says "Search for Updates" & the check is finished , you will see 5 items near the top of the window, "Search for Updates", "Download Updates", UniDo(Europe), "Show Log" and "Help". Next to UniDo(Europe) you will see a "down" arrow. Click the "down" arrow and you will see download site choices (3 in Europe, 1 in USA and 1 in Australia). Right click on your selection to make it default .
A Beginner's Guide to Spybot

SpyBot lock host files greyed out
If it doesn't have a hosts file you cant lock it, so that tweak will be grayed out.
Have SpyBot install its hosts file.

Note: For those running in "Basic" mode ( version 1.2 ) you will NOT see this. You must be running in Advanced mode! To get in advanced mode, a really easy way is to go to Start >> All Programs >> Spybot Search and Destroy >> Spybot Search and Destroy (advanced). Click it. You are now in advanced mode.

SpywareBlaster
http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareblaster.html
SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.
Freeware

SpywareGuard
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html
SpywareGuard provides a real-time protection solution against spyware that is a great addition to SpywareBlaster's protection method. An anti-virus program scans files before you open them and prevents execution if a virus is detected - SpywareGuard does the same thing, but for spyware! And you can easily have an anti-virus program running alongside SpywareGuard.

Maybe this is the right thread for this maybe not. Anyway, I have an unusual problem I am hoping someone can help me with. Just recently when working in explorer (file browsing) I have a unique problem. As all know, explorer is divided into two panes - The right pane showing drives and main folders and the left showing drill down folders. Whenever I RIGHT click ANY folder or drive in the LEFT pane explorer.exe crashes. I have no problem right clicking in the right pane to bring up the context menu and the functionality is fine. This only happens in the LEFT pane????? Can anybody help with this problem????

Thanks up front

Thanks Jmat. This will be worth a try. But I also would like to check if an application has inserted an item in the shortcut menu and maybe that may be causing the crash. One of the workaround in the article you sent described selecting the item first to highlight, the trying the right click. This I have tried to no avail. Either way I will try both to solve the issue. I have already reinstalled a working copy of explore.exe and that did not work, leading me further to believe an install of an app shortcut in that menu maybe the culprit. We'll see. Thank again for the help.

omegand , these 2 free cleaners are very good .

Find Junk Files , has a dead link remover .

Find Junk Files
http://www.iclaxton.com/findjunkfiles.html
Find Junk Files is a user-friendly utility designed to free up disk space by deleting useless junk files.
Each time you use your PC, unwanted files are created that increasingly use more space on
your hard drive.
Find Junk Files can find more than 165 types of junk files with ease. Unlike many other programs Find Junk Files will let you choose which drive or drives to clean, which file types to search for, and what folders to include or exclude.

CCleaner
http://www.spazmatic.net/partners/ccleaner/
CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a freeware system optimisation tool. That removes unused and temporary files from your system - allowing it to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space. The best part is that it's fast! (normally taking less that a second to run) and Free.

Forgot this bit .

CCleaner , the advantage of this cleaner is , when Issues is clicked & the boxes ticked , it will tell you before you fix ( doing one file at a time ) why the file is there .

try this man I just did it and it works just great.

Getting rid of explorer errors in computers with the AMD chip on board.
It'll leave you vulnerable to virus maybe but at least you'll be able to use your computer unless you are terminally stupid then you should have no trouble with it. If you are and prone to sue then forget everything I just told you.
1.click the Start button at the bottom left of your screen
2.click the Control Panel menu item
3.then double-click the System icon.
4.Click the Advanced tab
5.Find the item marked Performance right under there is a button that says Settings.
6.Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
7.You'll see two options in that window click the second option that says "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select."
8. when you are finished with that then click the 'add...' button it should be visable at the bottom of the box. then you have to find where the file 'explorer.exe' resides on your computer most of the time it's something like this c:\windows\explorer.exe anyway add explorer to that list. It'll give you a warning just ignore it and click ok. Then you reboot and if you try it everything should work just fine.

any other programs you have trouble with the sorry we gotta shut this down error then you add them to the list if you know for sure they aren't trojans. It should fix yer problem.

I experienced a similar problem, though I could see the explorer window, it was covered by the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) message. I didn't expect it to be a virus, as my XPSP2 computer is equipped with current firewall and anti-virus, et al. However, I did not want to disable DEP, fearing that something may really be there!

After trying multiple fixes, found through other internet searches, including DiskClean, RegCure, chkdsk, SFC/SCANNOW, McAfee Stinger, none worked, although RegCure, after several cycles, solved the problem for a little while, DEP would be encountered trying to open the Control Panel, perform a file search, or open windows explorer.

Upon looking to see what information would be transmitted to Microsoft due to the system error, the technical information stated (in part):
Event Type: BEX, P1: explorer.exe, P4: PnEL.dll

Another internet search revealed that PnEL.dll is apparently a component of Earthlink software. I was able to remove Earthlink software from my machine (working behind the DEP window), and the problem appears to be solved!
