Red face 2nd Partition on ONE Harddrive

Hey guys
Really i should know this but i dont maybe you guys can help i am Installing windows XP : home from a file on my harddrive but i only have one harddrive what will happen if i use Advanced Clean install when i dont have the software on CD
will it install a 2nd Partition one the same drive as my current windows??



you see its MSDN Windows XP : home with MSDN CD key so u dont get it on CD you get on form downloading can anyone help

I dont quite understand if you have 2 partitions or not. If you have 2, then there is no prob if the install files are on D:
If you only have 1...
After the format stage has completed the installation files will be gone so you will be stuck. the setup routine will not partition the drive.
You must do this yourself before setup starts using a partition manager. (to avoid losing the files).
If you dont have a partition manager, get a mate to copy the files to his drive, then partition yours... then copy the files back to your 2nd partition.
