Sound Problem with WMP

Recently, none of my music or video files have been playing with sound either in Windows Media Player or Real Player (the video still works). But, it's not a sound card problem because the sound works in PowerDVD, and if I run PowerDVD simultaneously, the sound works with the other programs too.

I have a Dell Inspiron 5050, Pentium 4, 1 GB Ram.

I HAD iTunes 6 but the music wont play so I tried Winamp but when I try to play music it says that I have a Bad DirectSound Driver what do I do???

it told me to install proper drivers or select another device i configuration.

I've had the same thing wrong with my windows media player for three months. I've just been using real player and VLC player but i'd really like to switch back over to WMP because it's more organized imo.

What error code do u get when you click web help? Mine is C00D11BA. I've reinstalled drivers and everything but no luck.

Try updating your audio drivers see if it works for you, if not and you find another solution please post back and let me know.
