keyboard doesnt correspond to characters displayed!

Hi,

I just reformatted my computer... but I have noticed that when i press the " key on the keyboard an @ symbol is displayed instead of the ".

Likewise when i press the @ key on the keyboard an " symbol is displayed instead of the @.

How do I rectify this problem?

Thanks in advance...

Carl

Keyboards around the world have some keys set in different places to other areas of the world.

As Miz says you need to ensure that your keyboard is set to your local input language ...

Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Settings > Languages > Details > Settings > Scroll down the window to Keyboard ...

Add your Keyboard input language as required.

Have a look at this page, you can select your country and it shows what your keyboard layout is.
