Screensavers lock up PC after 10 min

I have been having a problem with screensavers ever since I upgraded to Windows XP. Screensavers install and configure just fine. The “Preview” in display properties works good as well. Screensavers start after the set time, but only run for about 10-15 minutes, and then freeze up and lock the system. The only way I can unlock my computer is to use the “Reset” button. I have this problem mainly with screensavers that I loaded myself rather than the ones that came with XP. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
