Floppy drive activates with no disk inserted

Hi,
I use Windows XP Home Ed. The other day I opened a Microsoft Internet Explorer page that was saved on a floppy and now everytime I click on the Explorer icon my floppy drive activates. I can still open Internet Explorer but the floppy drive keeps running for 20 seconds or so and is really annoying. There is probably a simple fix but I am new to this. Can anyone help?

Usually just going to IE's File>Open, typing in a URL and clicking OK will make IE "forget" to search the floppy.

If that doesn't work, open IE's History, find the file you opened from the floppy, right click on it and delete it from the history.

It seems to have stopped all by itself today.

next time it happen try to

right click at the task bar then
properties => start menu tab => customize=> then click the CLEAR "remove records of recently access documents........"
