What is your Outlook version

What is your outlook version?

notes:
Outlook 98 and later versions support sending and receiving mail in the HTML format used by many other Internet mail programs. Outlook 97 can neither send nor receive HTML mail.

In addition to the answers to the questions asked by cxxxkies and aceman, we also need to know if this is your personal computer or is it one you use at work?

If it's a workplace computer, you should talk to your IT department about restrictions required by your employer.

Any Internet address that you type into an Outlook message or other item becomes a hotlink that other Outlook users can use to get quickly to that resource.

Just typing an Internet e-mail address (such as emo@slipstick.com) or www.microsoft.com does not create a hotlink that Outlook users can click on; you need to use the fully qualified URL with the mailto: or http:// prefix

IF there is a restriction that stop users from using a hyperlink in an email that will be an interesting find. I did a permission search in outlook that those no mention of hyperlink restrictions in an office enviornment such as a network.

Are you the one creating the hyperlink in your emails or are these hyperlink of emails you received in your inbox?

I have not heard of this problem and would like to know the answer myself.

Good Luck in your research...

See if the information in the MS KB article, Hyperlinks in an E-mail Message Do Not Work provides the fix.

It's for Outlook 2000, 2002 and Outlook Express 6.
