Computer won't load windows after installing SP1 ???
Yeah I was at my sister's place installing SP1 on her newly upgraded to Windows XP computer. She wasn't home at the time so I thought it would be better to install it when she wasn't home. Turns out, the install took forever so I just left her place and went home. A few mins after getting back, my sister calls and tells me her comp is messed up. I forgot to leave a note telling her not to touch her comp (crap...I'm so stupid...). She told me that Windows said it was finished installing SP1 and it prompted for her to reboot. She chose "No" and logged off the guest account and onto her account. When logging on to her account, she told me that there was an error message. When she rebooted her comp, it wouldn't load Windows. I got over to her apartment, booted up her comp, and windows wouldn't load. The windows splash screen that shows that windows is loading shows up, but after a couple seconds, it goes back to the dos screen before loading the windows loading screen. Then it just stays like that for an indefinite period of time. What's the problem? Can you help? Thank you!
