System Restore: where do the files go?

I installed yesterday VIA bios drivers but they screwed up my system and WinXP did not even start. Luckily, I got System Restore active and I was able to revert to working set up.

However, where are the VIA drivers lurking now after system restore? Are they deleted or in some kind of temp file? I'd like to get rid of them for good just to be safe.

Or does the System Restore delete them automatically?
