Please help!

I know what the problem is and why my windows Xp wont shut down when I go to start then shut down. I figured its because I have to many files on My Task Manager most are by system and some have my name beside the user name "Robert Main". I deleted most of them but they keep coming back. I know thats the problem because I closed most of them and then my computer will shut down. Here is a list of some of the files.

apiuo.exe
svxhost.exe
ccApp.exe
syshost.exe

If I close all these My computer will shut down when i tell it to. Are those files needed, Or can I delete them. If I can delete them could you tell me how it would be done. Thank you

Windows XP Home Edition
512 DDR MB RAM
320GB HDD Hard Drive
Ge Force Fx5200 256MB
AMD Athlon 64 3200+

(could you tell me if thats good specs for a cpu, I just bought it. lol)

You can look up everything in Task Manager's Processes list on this Answers That Work site.

Once you know what they are, you can decide whether you need them.

It's the most comprehensive list I've found yet I can't find "svxhost" or "syshost." Those are either typos meaning "svchost," which is "Generic Host Process for Win32 Services," a necessary process best left alone (plenty of information about it on the above site) or they represent viruses, several of which masquerade as the legitimate "svchost" service.

To shut down XP's unnecessary services, use the guide on Black Viper's site to configure them, using the settings in the Safe column.

Check here!
And Here!
"ccApp.exe" is a part of Norton and must not be tampered with otherwise Norton will fail to load next bootup!

"apiuo.exe" not sure about this one.
