mmtask, msconfig, regedit dont open

HI, im running with windows XP PRO and i have problems with mmtask, msconfig and rededit. When i go to run and type msconfig or regedit is open just for 1 second and then close. The same with mmtask, when i need to close any program and hit Ctrl + Alt + Delete task appear and close immediately. I dont know why i have this problem. It was working before and now this happpen. i need to fix this! any help??? thanx

1: run a virus scan
2: run spybot search and destroy
3: run hijackthis and post a log file if you wish (this may help us to solve the prob.)

also are there any other problems sucks as a lack in preformance changed settings crashing ect.?

Have these files been moved/deleted or corrupted? Search C: (including hidden and system files) to see if they are still there.

Try extracting and expanding the original files from the installation cd (or download them) and overwrite the possibly damaged current versions.
