What ways are there to cool your pc without getting an extra fan. Because my computer is freezing when i play games or when i do many things at once.
I run
Windows XP Professional
Intel Pentium III 1.0GHz
256MB Ram
Directx 9.0

This could be a comination of several things ...

Cooling -

If you don't want to add another fan you can drill some large holes in the top of the PC Case to allow hot air out and drill some small ones near the bottom to allow cooler air in.

Use a low pressure dry air blower to clean the dust away from the components on your motherboard, dust is a good thermal insulator. Try not to use a vacuum cleaner, it might take some motherboard jumpers with it and that can cause massive problems.

System Resources - 256Mb of RAM, this is quite low for running XP, try adding another 256 Mb.

General Housekeeping -

run Disk Cleanup at least once a week and then Defrag your Hard Drive to keep it running as fast as possible.

run Anti Virus and othe Scumware checks as often as possible.
