I wish ti replace my old drive for a new one how do i partion prior to installing XP

Why do you want to partition it? Are you creating a dual boot or something else?

I Need to partion so i only have the operating system on one drive and programs music and photos in another. no worry anyway i've found that if you boot from the XP cd it offers you the chanmce to partition and format a hard drive from new any way.
