Cannot Start Up XP Home edition
I am running windows XP home edition and I can not get my OS the start. Whenever I start up my computer It will go perfectly to the Windows XP Home edition start up screen, then give me this error message:
Hit F1 to retry reboot or Hit F2 to enter the setup utlility.
OR
It will start to the screen giving me the boot options like Start normally or or safe mode but none of the work.
Before it goes into error it flashes a blue screen with an error about 1/3 of the screen big that goes by too quick to read.
How it Happened:
I was trying to close out of a game and shutdown my computer and it froze, and I waited a couple of minutes, then tried to alt, ctrl, delete it but the computer showed no reation. Then I shut It down by holding the power button.
I think It may have someting to do with updating Morphius though, because this has happened once before. Except this time under the system bios it wont recognize my hard drive or my CD-rom drive.
Is there anyway to fix it without loosing my entire Hard Drive by booting from my CD-Rom drive and having to reformat my HD by reinstalling XP?
Computer Specs:
1) Windows XP Home edition
2) 1.50 ghz
3) 256 mg ram
4) a Dell Demension 4300 desktop
5) 2-3 years old
TY for your help
