Saved password is wrong

Whenever i open IE or send/receive Outlook express the connection dialog box comes up with the wrong password. I have an 8 character password and it always comes up with a 16 character password. I have tried deleting the last 8 characters in the password box to see if the password was entered twice but that produces an invalid password error. I have deleted my dial up account and gone through the connection wizard again to see if that would help but to no avail.

Any help?

If you have XP it will generate random letters/figures in amongst your password. This is perfectly normal. Set your password and leave alone.
