My beginning problem was this:
Windows XP: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

I only was able to finish part One. I copied and deleted and repaired each of those commands in DOS. Well the computer now still boots to the screen asking me if I want to start normally, last known config, or in safe mode. All of them now start but to a blank black screen so I cannot complete parts 2 and 3. Even Safe Mode starts saying safe mode in each of the 4 corners but all I have is a black screen and a mouse pointer. Help help help please!
