XP Pro install

Friend of mine asked me to upgrade his computer from XP Home to XP Pro. After the clean install XP worked fine except that I can't raise the color quality up from 16 (which is medium) to 32 (highest). So I've got big icons and a default setting on the monitor that I can't change. I took a look inside the computer and there is no video card. (think this might be my problem).

He has a:

P4
2 gig
256k ram
40 gig hard drive

Just wanted to make sure that I didn't screw anything up before I gave his computer back. I hope that this is normal for a computer without a video card.

Thanks

You most likely just need to "update" the video drivers. Go to the manufacture's site for them. You can also try Microsoft updates as well, as they are available there sometimes. Having no video card simply means you have "onboard video".
